Ophthalmology Digital Workflow and Software Platform Product Manager (m/f/d)


Your Responsibilities:


Innovation And Product Development



  • Define global Ophthalmic Imaging applicationsportfolio

  • Identify customer pain points via VOC (Voice of Customer) in collaboration with Application teams and translate VOC into product ideas

  • Develop business plan for new software and digital imaging products in terms of expected revenue and margin stream

  • Create attractive Software Products and Drive Software innovation and development together with all relevant stakeholders

  • Establish network to outside partners that could support hardware or software development

  • Position Leica as a driver and new standard for connectivity, data management and usability

  • Support Medical Business Management team to work out Global Market Positioning and Pricing Management including financial bridges and revenue recognition stream


Digital Imaging Software Platform Development And Design



  • Drive the innovation process in cooperation with R&D, Strategic Marketing and RU based on customer needs, workflow solution approaches and adapting technical and digital trends including reference points of market and competitors

  • Drive software and hardware Innovation and accompany the technical development process

  • Ensures all requirements for software sprints are available, user stories are consistent

  • Create Medical OS software architecture and support software developers in clarification of features and programming from a customer perspective

  • Create state-of the art User Interface, drive UX and usability

  • Plan, implement and execute Product Validations and Field Tests (Alpha/Beta) to make sure the solution meets the User Requirements including test requirement, result evaluation and consolidation

  • Cooperates with PM Microsurgery and Ophthalmology to consider different market specifics in the design of SW platform


Product Launch And Market Releases



  • Work with Medical Business Management Team to achieve successful product launch, and perform overall launch coordination and release management

  • Provide support for Marketing Activity to achieve business growth

  • Manage the marketing part of Software and Digital Imaging releases, being the central contact with respect to release content and timing as well as communication to sales

  • Ensure good coordination with external stakeholders including Sales, Regional application management and end customers


Our Expectations:



  • A professional experience of a minimum 2-3 years proven experience in Product Management, Sales or Marketing in life science, medical or imaging software industry

  • Demonstrated success in leading innovation project

  • Education: Master / Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business Administration (Preferred: MBA)

  • Languages: English and additional foreign languages is a plus

  • Travel required estimated: 40% of time
