In addition, it also provides technical assistance and engineering support for major Capital Investment Projects to our factories.

Our Nestlé Nutrition Science and Technology department and more specifically the group „Food Biotechnology’ needs your support as soon as possible.

A day in the life of a Laboratory Technician in Biotechnology/Microbiology

 



  • Contribute to R&D projects by planning and conducting fermentations mainly with probiotic & lactic acid bacteria at laboratory scale

  • Optimize fermentation conditions based on yield, gene expression, enzymatic activity and sugar profiles

  • Contribute to the implementation and validation of new analytical methods

  • Discuss and present results as needed

  • Work in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)

  • Contribute to training of fellows


What will make you successful

 



  • Laboratory technician VET in Biology, or BSc in biology, biotechnology or microbiology,

  • Experience in the field of fermentation, lactic acid bacteria or probiotics is an advantage

  • Ability to work autonomously with a strong team spirit

  • Hands-on in laboratory environment

  • Flexible, open-minded and curious

  • At ease with computers and use of Excel, Word etc..

  • Advanced or fluent in English and basic German necessary
