Your Mission:

You are enthusiastic about emerging technologies? You are hands-on, creative and bubbling with new ideas that you follow-through with realism to provide disruptive solutions to internal business challenges or bring value to our Patients?

You could be our new Digital Incubator and Innovation Analyst working in the IT Digital Incubator and Innovation Department. 

You will act as an IT subject matter expert in business-led innovation initiatives in order to achieve a high output rate and seize the promising opportunities. You will pro-actively scout technology opportunities and demonstrate their practical use cases and business value.

Responsabilities and Duties:

• Maintain the IT innovation portfolio and emerging technology radar ensuring initiative information is accurate and up to date, prepare progress status reports and support the Head of Digital Incubator and Innovation in measuring the performance and value generated by the Ferring IT innovation effort.


• Active member of business-led digital innovation initiatives which can be either market-facing or aiming at internal optimisation. Apply adequate innovation methodologies. Provide expertise and recommendations on all technological aspects of the initiatives.


• Constantly develop the toolbox of methodologies that are fit for successful innovation. Partner with others to learn and improve from concrete experience. Educate people in the required way of working when they get deployed to an innovation activity.


• Support the Head of Digital Incubator in running Hackathons to accelerate ideation, and foster a culture of engagement, creativity and performance.


• Identify and explore emerging technological trends, vendors and start-ups that have the potential to create transformative impact on the future of Ferring (IT, pharma, and other sectors)


• Plan and coordinate or execute proof of concepts jointly with interested parts of business and IT to rapidly demonstrate the value and identify matching business opportunities.


• Develop an innovation ecosystem of internal and external partners to leverage repeatedly during innovation initiatives. Combine relevant talent and experience.


• Communicate broadly on successes, learnings and failures of prototypes and pilots. Market and Leverage successes into other parts of the organisation.

Required Experience & Competences:

• University degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Computer science or Life Science


• 5+ years experience in a start-up, accelerator or technological innovation role


• Exposure and understanding of existing, new and emerging technologies, data and processing environments and how they can transform/disrupt the pharmaceutical industry


• Experience in cloud platform services development and deployment (MS Azure, AWS)


• Proven experience with design thinking derived methodologies and templates, service mapping, agile iterative development, minimal viable product development


• Strong network of relationships with start-ups, academia and emerging technology vendors


• Challenges and questions the status quo, neophilia, creative self-starter and hands-on with new technology


• Realistic and visionary on how innovative solutions will scale


• Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work effectively in unstructured environments


• Excellent written, verbal, communication and presentation skills
