The principal purpose of the above position is to assist the Head of GLCM, in client acquisition and support through the effective positioning of GLCM Switzerland transactional suite of products. The position contributes directly to revenues and margins, competitiveness of the bank and relies on exceptional execution and implementation of HSBC’s, business, financial and strategic goals in Switzerland.


 


We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Commercial Banking team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.


 


In this role, you will:

 


Sales / Coverage



  • Sell and support the GLCM products to clients in Switzerland and in other countries in which HSBC is present.

  • Liaise interact and support Customer Groups locally, regionally and globally constantly keeping relevant parties abreast of Swiss market and GLCM product developments.

  • Provide specialist support to coverage teams on the GLCM product suite in Switzerland

  • Interact and partake in Client Vision pipeline management of the Cash pipeline, deal momentum and implementation

  • Participate in complex sales & deal structuring, RFI / RFP process.

  • Provide clients with advice on Short term investments.


Organisational Effectiveness



  • Client Focus- Assist in effectively cross selling GLCM products as part of the product mix to new and existing clients. Assisting RM's in better understanding products and positioning of said products to be effective in client engagement.

  • Leadership- Ensure all deliverables are met within the prescribed time. Matrix management - Form a relationship and better understanding of regional requirements and management to better network and provide effective solutions for clients.

  • Technical Management- Proficient knowledge on GLCM product


Financial



  • To assist in the management of GLCM Product profitability.

  • Monitor and track plan execution and implementation on continuous basis.

  • Sound understanding of customer revenue set, assets, liabilities and transaction volumes (drivers) around them

  • Variance analysis as per request from GLCM head, GLCM product head, or senior management.


People



  • Extensive interaction with functional partners such as Marketing, GLCM Product, Operations and Technology.

  • Extensive daily cooperation with GLCM Head, GLCM product head

  • Build confidence with clients (internal and external).

  • Local, Global and region Sales business central point of contact.


Context of the Job
GLCM is viewed as a key driver of business and revenue growth. The GLCM has been restructured to have its own sales, implementation, product development and client services teams in addition to operations / service delivery units. This is intended to meet the increased challenges arising out of an aggressive business plan and stiff competition from local and foreign banks. The principal purpose of the above position is to manage, end-to-end, the GLCM sales cycle for HSBC in Switzerland. The position contributes directly to revenues and margins, customer acquisition, competitiveness of the bank and relies on exceptional execution of HSBC’s, business, financial and strategic goals in Switzerland.


The GLCM suite of products include Channel, Payments, Receivables and Liquidity.

 

Qualifications

  • Successful track record in product and sales team leadership

  • Ability to structure innovative solutions to complex, payments and collections problems

  • Banking experience essential, with preferable focus around Transactional products (Payments, Cash Management, Receivables)

  • Proficient knowledge of local country market regulations

  • Financial management skills.

  • Proficient systems knowledge of HSBC systems such as HUB, Customer Relationship Management (Client Vision) GLCM Intranet

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

  • German and / or French language would be highly desirable.

  • Thorough and proficient understanding of GLCM products and Services
