 Skyguide provides air navigation services for Switzerland and certain adjacent parts of neighbouring countries. With its 1500 employees at 14 locations in Switzerland, the company guides some 1,2 million civil and military flights a year safely and efficiently through Europe's most complex airspace. To ensure that we continue to fulfill this task in the future, we are seeking a/an:

Senior Tooling Engineer

The Senior Tooling Engineer is responsible for promoting and supporting good software engineering practices using the workflow & collaboration tools used by the Application Engineering & Integration division, in particular in the area of requirements, test & defect management.YOUR TASK

  • Plan and prepare the onboarding of existing requirements and tests into software engineering tools (e.g. structuring of requirements, data quality assurance, data import)

  • Train and support the users of these software engineering tools (e.g. good practices, troubleshooting)

  • Drive the harmonization and evolution of software engineering practices and tools (test automation, build orchestration)

  • Configure the software engineering tools in collaboration with tool suppliers & system administration (e.g. work flows, access rights, licenses, updates, backup)

  • Ensure high availability of software engineering tools through appropriate support model

  • Foster the integration between different software engineering tools and with external parties

  • Contribute to the establishment and implementation of a scalable tooling architecture

YOUR PROFILE

  • Engineering degree in the field of information systems or equivalent education

  • 10+ years of solid experience in requirements engineering and/or test management

  • Good know-how of software engineering tools (e.g. Polarion, JIRA, Confluence, SPARX EA) and their integrated use in an enterprise context

  • Proven track record in training and coaching of software engineers

  • Pragmatic approach and ability to work autonomously

  • Open-minded team player with good interpersonal skills

  • Practical experience with Agile methods

  • Very good verbal and written command of English, good command of German and French is a plus

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to branch offices (Switzerland)
