We are looking for a business development executive for our Intellectual Property team at IBM Research. This team supports commercialization activities for IBM Research for the full transaction lifecycle from identification to close.
Your responsibilities
You will have the opportunity to lead high-impact projects that require your creativity and prior experience in identifying business opportunities as well as structuring and managing deals with early technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with IBM’s Intellectual Property and Research leadership to identify business opportunities and develop potential commercialization models for IBM Research assets with third-party companies. The commercialization models may include licensing, joint development, asset sales, divestitures but also partnerships involving other IBM organizations. The successful candidate will also be a deal leader, who will establish and manage a cross-functional team focused on a specific transaction or technologies.
