The AO is a medically guided, not-for-profit organization led by an international group of surgeons specialized in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Founded in 1958 by a group of visionary surgeons, today, the AO has a global network of 200,000 health care professionals. Each year it offers over 830 educational events around the world, which are supported by nearly 9,000 faculty and are attended by over 58,000 participants. It has 20,000 surgeon members working in the fields of trauma, spine, craniomaxillofacial (CMF), veterinary, and reconstructive surgery.

The AO Education Institute supports the AO and its Clinical Divisions to further develop and to transform medical education for our communities. Publishing and Faculty Support Media provides proofreading, graphic design, medical illustration, and print production services to develop AO Founda-tion's diverse range of medical books, journals, and course materials/presentations. 



We are looking for a highly motivated student (in a temporary engagement for 12 months with option for extension) to support our education team in Dübendorf, Switzerland.


Student Support Faculty Development, 50%, temporary


In this role you will be required to:



  • Process data: including collecting, coding, categorizing, calculating, analyzing or controlling

  • Prepare and analyze existing data (using SPSS or Stata; MS Access)

  • Support data interpretation and appropriate graphical representation

  • Carry out administrative tasks, such as writing minutes, preparing material for events, etc


In order to master this challenge, you have:



  • A university major or minor in statistics

  • Experience with various statistics tools

  • Experience in working accurately and efficiently with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • An affinity for learning and working with different information technology (IT) tools

  • A structured and precise working style and an analytical mind

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English

  • Reliable team player who can work independently
