We are offering a two-year temporary position in the Solid State Research Group in our Roche Innovation Center in Basel.
Our team’s main tasks are the characterization of drug substances and drug formulations by means of solid state analytical methods, mainly by vibrational spectroscopy (FTIR, Raman), X-ray diffraction and imaging technologies.
We work in a stimulating environment at the interface of formulation research, medicinal chemistry, technical development and quality control. We both provide scientific analytical expertise and routine analytical services (also in a GMP environment) to our diverse customers.
As a Research Associate your contribution focus on the characterization of crystal polymorphs and formulations, mainly by means of IR and Raman spectroscopy.
You are responsible for performing analysis and reporting of results, incl. communicating and presenting to our customers and project teams.
In addition, you contribute to the evaluation and implementation of new methods and technologies in Solid State Research.
Who are we looking for?
You are trained (e.g. Bsc, Msc) in a scientific or technical field such as chemistry, pharmaceutical technology or materials science with hands-on 3+ years experience in solid state analytics. Practical experience in vibrational spectroscopy is a plus. You like working in a team and demonstrate outstanding analytical, organizational and technical capabilities. You also bring:
Do you have a PhD? We do encourage you to apply to Scientist positions as your profile does not qualify for a Research Associate position.
