Hubonaut Program

Are you looking to get involved in a community of creators building a radically collaborative world?  The Impact Hub Zürich’s Hubonaut program is a work exchange oriented towards supporting people who are looking to connect into an open, vibrant and creative professional community.  We’re always looking formotivated volunteers with great people skills to join our hosting team.

An integral part of the Impact Hub Team, Hubonauts hosts can commit as Daily Hosts to fixed days in our locations, or opt for a more flexibility by joining our backup team as Flying Hosts.

The deal

• As a Daily Host you are committed to space and people hosting at one of our Impact Hub locations one day per week.Space hosting responsibilities include opening and closing the locations, helping to keep the space tidy and functional, and making sure that the coffee keeps flowing. As a people host, you are important ambassador for the Impact Hub, welcoming newcomers, giving tours, helping members find their way around, organizing activities to bring the community together, and bringing your positive personality into the mix to create an open and collaborative atmosphere where people feel encouraged to connect.

• As an Flying Host you make yourselves flexibly availableon an as needed basis to help step in when our daily hosts are absent.

On occasion, the Impact Hub engages Special Hubonauts for ongoing special projects, for example: event photography, graphic design or other project based work).  Please contact us directly at volunteering@impacthub.ch to find out more about ongoing special project opportunities.

As a Hubonaut host you receive:

• 1.5 years IHZ membership valued at over 1500 CHF  


• Hands on experience in the Impact Hub world through the possibility of active participation in various team and member projects


• access to our coworking spaces and meeting rooms to work on your own projects and connect with members


• meaningful networking opportunities within a vibrant community of changemakers.
