The Senior Communications Manager, ERC &NBAA will help position Novartis internally and externally as an industry leader in ethics, risk and compliance and in providing assurance and protection. You will help drive compelling audience-led content and tactics that cause our associates to put values before performance and to hold themselves and others accountable for doing the right thing. You will work within the newly formed Enterprise Communications pooled business partnering team as a dedicated resource to the Head of Communications, ERC and NBAA. You will co-create and deliver communication plans and activities within the ERC and NBAA functions and on behalf of the functions to the enterprise. This role is multi-disciplinary, and your programs and projects will vary depending on the required skillset and capabilities determined by the dedicated functional support model.



You will be responsible but not limited to:



• Provide advice and guidance, and act as business partner to the Global Heads of ERC and NBAA and their leadership teams on how to design and deliver impactful and customer-centric communication programs internally and externally

• Co-design and deliver an audience-focused global communications strategy and tactics across multiple channels that will enhance our functions’ impact for the business and society

• Design and deploy effective measurement strategies

• Create and develop sticky, relevant content for specific audiences across multiple channels

• Create and deliver high impact events and meetings • Develop and implement innovation to the communication models and approaches in our function, bringing the outside in and ensuring that we stay at the cutting edge of communication best practices

• Ensure effective project management and budget control so programs are delivered to a high standard on time and within budget




Minimum requirements

• University degree in relevant area (strategic communications, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement)

• Fluent English speaker (read/ write/ speak)

• 7+ years in roles delivering high impact communication strategies and plans

• Ability to network with and influence Novartis leadership teams of various functions at Global, Region and Country levels

• Ability to work in agile team settings, leading informally and driving for collective results

• Ability to galvanize grassroots support and lead without direct authority
