We are currently looking for a Process Engineer (f/m/d) to join the Formulation and Packaging Engineering Team in Münchwilen, AG. As a member of the team, you will play a key role in the development activities for Syngenta finished products. 


Role Purpose

  • Contributes to the robust scale-up of formulation manufacturing processes from laboratory through to full-scale manufacture

  • Supports innovation by generating new ideas and identifying new technologies relevant to finished product manufacturing and development

  • Designs, and runs, experimental programmes for such new technologies in close collaboration with the formulation pilot plant


Accountabilities

  • Contributes to the work programme for scale-up of formulation processes from lab to full-scale manufacturing, under the guidance of their manager.

  • Contributes to the design of semi-tech, pilot plant and full-scale manufacturing trials and provides technical supervision as a member of the trial implementation team.

  • Delivers elements of the process definition for capital projects, including equipment evaluation and specification, under the supervision of the Team Leader.

  • Identifies solutions to increase process robustness and manufacturing capacity, improve quality and / or reduce manufacturing costs at processing sites, and works as a member of the project team to implement these solutions.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification and / or relevant experience.

  • Understanding of chemical engineering principles and unit operations.

  • Keen to learn new skills in formulation-related processes. 

  • Highly self-starting and motivated.

  • Capability to work in diverse, multidisciplinary teams within an international business.

  • Strong team-worker, with excellent communication and influencing skills and the capacity to work independently.

  • Fluent spoken and written English. German skills a clear advantage
