We are looking to attract a highly skilled and motivated Commissioning and Service Engineer to join the Drives System engineering group. We supplies large electrical drives for the minerals, building materials, and aluminum industry.

Your responsibilities



  • Take on responsibility for the commissioning of large MV- electrical drive systems (Gearless Mill Drives 5- 28 MW) as well as maintenance and troubleshooting

  • Support electrical drive system engineering team and coordinate technical aspects as part of specific projects

  • Verify technical solutions and address issues in close collaboration with customers and suppliers

  • Provide professional technical support for Project Management and Product Management

  • Carry out final inspections in cooperation with sub-suppliers and conduct customer training

  • Carry out factory acceptance tests of electrical drives (in-house)


Your background



  • Solid degree in electrical engineering or similar qualifications, complemented by sound knowledge of electrical drives (engineering, commissioning, and troubleshooting)

  • Minimum 5 years professional experience in the field of electrical drives

  • Experience relating to medium-voltage converters (cyclo-, direct- or frequency converter) desirable

  • Highly structured, solution-driven approach as well as computer literacy and ability to work independently

  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to provide staff training

  • Fluent command of English, other languages (eg. German and/or Spanish) are a strong asset

  • Willingness to travel on worldwide commissioning and service assignments in remote areas (80%, up to several months per assignment)
