Senior Financial Reporting & Accounting Analyst - Your Future Position?


 


We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Reporting and Accounting Analyst to join our Group Reporting team in Vernier.


 


In this role reporting to the Group Reporting Manager, you will be in charge of the monthly reporting and consolidation process in order to maintain accurate financial information in Givaudan’s systems, according to organisation requirements and corporate policies. You will also be responsible for administering the Group Reporting and Consolidation sytems.

In this exciting opportunity you will be in charge of the following responsibilities:


 



  • Consolidation, IFRS Accounting and Analysis: you will be responsible for performing the consolidation of the financial results and ensuring they are completed in time, with high quality and according to requirements. You will also prepare consolidation accounting adjustments in accordance with IFRS, for one-off or highly specialised transactions adjustments. Moreover, you will be in charge of analysing new transactions with the Group reporting Manager and the Group Accounting Manager and provide the accounting solution in accordance with IFRS. You will prepare analytical presentations for senior management (Flash Sales Report, Dashboard, Sales presentations, EC presentations, Variances). You will also prepare the consolidated equity reconciliations and cash flow statement for the Group in accordance with IFRS, as well as specific analysis and metrics of reporting submissions and external reporting documents such as the consolidated financial statements. Finally, you will conduct a competition analysis on a quarterly basis.


 



  • Integration of newly acquired companies: you will act as the reference point together with the Group Reporting Manager on the integration of new companies and will actively participate in their integration into the Group Consolidation & Reporting systems. You will lead mapping activities from local chart of accounts of acquired companies to Group chart of accounts (under IFRS). Finally, you will build integration solutions into the Group consolidation systems.


 



  • Financial Controlling & Budget process: you will be responsible for driving strong partnership with the Division Controlling FP&A and support monthly group management reporting & adhoc analysis for the Group Reporting Manager. You will coordinate with Division Controlling, Givaudan Business Solutions and Head of Group Controlling & Accounting the preparation of the annual budget and capital expenditure process. You will drive initiatives to improve Group cost allocation process.


 



  • Systems Administration: you will act as a security administrator for the interface between ERP (SAP) and the Group Consolidation System (BOFC). You will also serve as a primarily functional support to users of the Group Consolidation System.



Your professional profile includes:


 



  • University degree in Finance or Accounting ; Degree in IFRS accounting (such as ACCA or Swiss CPA) is a plus ;

  • 6-8 years of relevant working experience in Reporting, Consolidation, Audit and / or IFRS Accounting analyst roles ;

  • Fluent in English, French a strong benefit ;

  • Able to work under pressure and meeting deadlines ;

  • Proficiency in common MS Office applications ;

  • Experience in Reporting / Consolidation Systems and SAP Fi/Co

  • Excellent understanding of IFRS

  • Ability to work methodically and accurately ;

  • Team player.
