About the Role


As a Global Product Manager (Dairy & Dairy alternatives) you will report to the Global Category Director and you will manage the portfolio of Dairy and Dairy alternatives. At this exciting role, you will work in a structure manner and with your background you will be in charge of building networks globally at Givaudan. 


 


You Will:


 


Identify growth opportunities and establish commercial product strategy. 


 



  • Monitor market dynamics with Regions for evolving product portfolio and customer needs

  • Identify growth opportunities, essential customer needs and gaps in the Dairy & Dairy alternatives portfolio

  • Create business development strategy and plan to address gaps and guides portfolios to industry leadership


 


Guides the delivery of Sales and Margin results by collaborating with key stakeholders on important activities for the business platforms


 



  • Lead Global Council Team (where used) to ensure competitive position and identification/resolution of new issues

  • Resolve issues affecting the business (e.g., timeline, regulatory issues, product costs, raw material issues, manufacturing feasibility, capital requirements) with Regional Product Managers and Technical Heads, S&T, G-CASS, Regulatory, Operations and Purchasing

  • Coordinate with regional leaders to selectively visit customers to present our capabilities and understand market needs

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Purchasing or S&OP teams to monitor essential commodity market conditions and determine inventory positions for those commodities

  • Make pricing recommendations to Regional commercial leaders for raw-material-cost-sensitive products


 


Define product and technology requirements with Regions and establish business justifications for new RPM projects in collaboration with the CTL


 



  • Ensure Innovation Programme is fully aligned with the growth strategy and sets up RPM Programs for large development themes in IDDC format in collaboration with CTL

  • Establish Business Cases for RPM project proposals in collaboration with Regional Product Management

  • Define projects and support needs for S&T Apply group and Consumer Understanding to validate and improve portfolio performance


 


Guides the commercialization of new products and technologies coming through the research pipeline


 



  • Leads the implementation of the Engagement Model with Regions to ensure effective commercialization of new products and technology

  • Leads project teams during commercialization to ensure achievement of milestones within timelines and market place differentiation, which includes documentation of activity and decisions

  • Builds and coordinates implementation of the Commercial Plan with Regional Product Managers

  • Establishes pricing strategies for existing and new products in collaboration with Global Category Director, Global Pricing and Regional Product Managers 

  • Partners with Global Marketing to develop collateral and promotional material

  • Builds and executes training plans for regional technical organizations in collaboration with S&T Apply group and Regional Innovation Heads

  • Manages information sharing, including best practices, during development and commercialization phases of the project

  • Monitors delivery against the business case (KPIs report) and provides feedback to IC and ICWG

  • Provides coaching and support to the dedicated Regional Product Managers


 


Manages assigned global product portfolio to ensure it is relevant, complete, competitive, differentiated and profitable


 



  • Becomes global subject matter expert for Dairy & Dairy alternatives

  • Collaborates with expert groups, Cardex Council and Regional Technical Heads to ensure the Dairy & Dairy alternatives successful commercialization

  • Develops and maintains knowledge of competitor products, communicates changes and recommends corrective responses

  • Ensures ongoing ability to manufacture and deliver the product portfolio


 


You Have:


 



  • University degree in Food Science, Chemistry or Biology, also a degree in Business Administration or Marketing

  • Understand Sweet & Beverages business, market dynamics, and product requirements

  • Several years of successful track record in developing new business or commercializing products in Sweet and Beverages or related segments

  • Fluent in spoken and written English, multilingual advantage

  • Willingness to travel internationally (30%)
