The successful candidate for this role will support Platform on Shaping the Future of Mobility.

The team is undertaking a range of projects to improve the global mobility system. The projects cover areas like self-driving vehicles, electric and inclusive mobility, alternative fuels for the airline, shipping and trucking industries, blockchain for supply chain and drone regulations.

 

Reporting lines and interactions

The Programme Lead will be based out of the Forum’s Geneva Office and will report to the Community Lead for Shaping the Future of Mobility and be responsible for overseeing the team’s communications strategy (internally and externally) as well as manage select communities and events.

The Programme Lead will also work closely with other members of the Mobility team and colleagues in the Centre for Global Industries, and externally with a broad range of project stakeholders, including companies, governments, research institutions and civil society organizations as well as media.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

• Design and implement a marketing and communications strategy for the mobility team with external stakeholders as well as internal ones (including blogs, various social media channels, newsletter and internal open houses).


• Produce and disseminate reports, blogs, other relevant messaging via multiple online and offline channels


• Design, develop and deliver on events and programs while working with internal and external stakeholders and tools


• In select cases, work with the team to bring together and manage the collaboration of the most relevant stakeholders, which may include the delivery of multiple thematic workshops and virtual community meetings


• Act as the primary liaison for the Mobility Stewards, the Platform's high-level governing community

 

Qualifications and Skills

•  5+ years experience in the Mobility sector; preferably in the Aviation, Travel and Tourism or Supply Chain and Transport sector; additional experience in international organizations or government also welcome


• Strong understanding of the overall Mobility ecosystem and emerging trends; and a proven interest in global affairs or public interest


• Experience in communications and public relations is desired.


• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred


• Strategic thinking with ability to identify trends and patterns of transformation


• Excellent presentation, facilitation, communications and writing skills


• Demonstrated ability to cultivate communities


• A natural storyteller, experienced at curating successful narratives for both internal and external stakeholders


• Outstanding command of written and spoken English; additional language skills a plus


• Committed to improving the state of the world, with solid values and ethical principles


• Adaptable and resilient; able to thrive in an ambiguous and dynamic environment


• Able to take initiative and drive work independently when necessary


• Team spirit – willingness to identify as part of the team and work collaboratively in support of shared team and Forum goals
