In order to strengthen our Strategy & Brand Management Team we are looking for a
Business Development Manager (m/f)
Your tasks & responsibilities
Drive Belimo's strategic initiative for smart "Performance Devices", developing this new business to a substantial size
Support the Executive Committee in the development and the execution of the strategy
Initiate and plan the right actions and resources jointly with Product Management, Innovation, Marketing Communication and Sales
Carry out specific business cases and studies in interesting areas of Performance Devices
Support regional Production Management and Innovation in the definition and review of future product concepts; assure sufficient customer value-add and differentiation of new offerings
Track the progress of the strategy implementation and provide regular updates to the Performance Device strategy team, the Steering Committee and the Executive Committee
Plan and initiate marketing campaigns for Performance Devices and provide the Brand Team with the relevant Content
Develop product-, application- and sales-trainings for Performance Devices jointly with Product Management and the regional training departments
Our requirements:
Engineering degree, MBA or further education in marketing
Minimum 10 years of experience in the Building Automation and Controls (BACS) area whereof 5 years in BACS consulting engineering, sales or product management
Ideally past experience in new business development and involvement in strategic projects
Strong heating, ventilation and air conditioning application knowledge and interested in the internet of things area / cloud Services
Extensive conceptual as well as implementation skills
Strong interpersonal, communication and moderation skills
Fluent written and spoken English is essential
The position is based in Hinwil (Switzerland), Danbury (USA) or Hong Kong and the worldwide travel requirement is approximately 20%
