We are currently seeking a Project Leader to join our multinational team of bright minds, and deliver product results for our windshield project on schedule and according to scope.We are a diverse team of forward-thinking individuals. We like to combine different approaches, apply knowledge from various fields, and always push the envelope.In this role, your key responsibilities will be to manage multiple local and global high-profile teams on new windshield product development for application in holographic HUD systems. You will also be responsible for identifying and procuring the necessary resources for successful execution.Windshield technology for Holographic HUDs is a new direction for our company, which includes cooperation with partners and involves several internal departments. Expected results
Create a windshield product roadmap and align with the Company product portfolio, including plans for industrial process development, manufacturing, and supply.
Develop proof of concept prototypes.
Define execution team organisation and create a hiring plan.
Design IP strategy on product related technology.
Primary tasks
Develop clear project objectives and timeline and proactively adjust these as research develop.
Steer the project in order to achieve a required maturity level from concept to start of production.
Be responsible for status reports preparation for C-level team and external stakeholders, partners, suppliers or other WayRay R&D team.
Advise and assist in related intellectual property protection processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferable in Scientific Discipline is required.
Ph.D in Material Science or Physics preferred.
5+ years of experience in R&D project management in cross functional international environment in the automotive industry is required.
Prior experience working with polymers, automotive glass and automotive quality standards required.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Ability to lead and mentor project team to follow process and adhere to standard guidelines.
Working knowledge of specifications, standards, scientific test methods, equipment, and instrumentation relevant to automotive glazing production.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice (up to 35%).
