Technical Program Manager, Geo

Inseriert am: 08.01.2020

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

The Geo Platform team builds and improves the tools that enable Geo to measure and analyze the performance of its properties. This includes logging, metrics pipelines, and analyst tools that provide critical insights into user growth and engagement. The team is closely allied with other constituents of the Geo Core Apps organization, as well as feature development teams throughout the PA, in order to ensure that decisions are supported by comprehensive, correct, and sensitive data and analysis capabilities.

Geo builds the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users. More than a billion people rely on Google Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives. That includes sailing down the Amazon river, choosing where to get a bite of pizza, and saving time in commuting.

Geo also helps merchants get their businesses on Google, and developers use the power of Google Maps to enhance their apps and websites. They are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving the accuracy of our geo data, all in order to plot a course for the future of mapping.
