IT Systems Engineer

As an IT System Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting a wide variety of IT functions.  If you like changing gears and working in the IT Operations, Enterprise Application Integration, Private Cloud Orchestration & Automation, and Data Centers, then this is the job for you.


Responsibilities:



  • Provide amazing day-to-day support to the office with our hardware, application and audio/visual conferencing systems

  • Partner with Global IT, internal stakeholders and vendors to provide secure and automated solutions

  • Be responsible for Corporate IT Assets and software in Zurich 

  • Assist the Data Center Services team to be an internal provider of PaaS/IaaS and AaaS


Background and Skills:



  • Employ customer support skills to solve hardware and application issues and enable our end users

  • Experience implementing and supporting managed endpoints, including MacOS, iOS, Android, Windows, Ubuntu, and other flavors of Linux

  • Basic knowledge in supporting SaaS apps like GSuite, Jira, Slack, Zoom, Okta, and Github 

  • Hands-On Networking experience (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, subnetting, VPN, cabling, Firewalls, Switches, and WiFi) 

  • Experience in Server Room and Colocation Data Centers; familiarity in racking & stacking, working with smart hands teams, monitoring health metrics, and processing RMAs

  • Interested in configuring and supporting Cloud Orchestration and Automation tools for bare metal and containers, e.g.  Kubernetes, OpenStack, Terraform, or Docker

  • Prior experience in supporting server network and operations, e.g. patching, reboots, installing basic operating, configuring hardware, building and following runbooks

  • Vendor management experience

  • Verbal and written fluency in English

  • Valid passport and ability to travel on occasion (~10%) to the US
