As eBay moves into inter-mediating payments on the Marketplaces platform it is critical that we deliver a world-class experience to our seller population, and help them through the transition from the current system to our Managed Payments product. As the Seller Transformation Lead in the EU Payments organisation, your role will be critical in deeply understanding and articulating the seller needs in a given market, and coordinating go-to-market planning including all seller communications.


You will be passionate about eBay and its customers and looking to drive significant change across our seller community. They will have a high level of comfort in managing/ delivering through influence cross-functionally.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct qual & quant research to understand the needs/ expectations of the EU seller population as it relates to Payments and payment management; influence global teams to ensure a world-class experience is available to our users.

  • Run research on monetisation approaches and other elements of putting a payment solution in to the market

  • Develop a plan to drive payments intermediation seller adoption in region; focus will be on localized value proposition & messaging, seller communication & training, and pricing/ incentives consistent with the global strategic framework.

  • Determine a clear strategy for talking to sellers about Payments, engaging them in the future direction of Payments

  • Create and deliver a clear communications roadmap for sellers from sign-up through activation. This should be multi-channel including direct 1:1 outreach.


Skills required:



  • Highly motivated self-starter, someone who is willing to dive in, investigate and gather necessary information to drive issues and tasks to completion

  • Experience in market/user research, go to market offerings and launch planning

  • Proven ability to create highly effective multi-channel seller marketing/ communication plans that can achieve cut-through and foster engagement. An understanding of the eBay seller marketing funnel and functionality an advantage.

  • Excellent collaboration and partnership capabilities with an ability to work with global, regional and local teams

  • Ability to lead through conflict and work with multiple partners, at all levels of the organisation

  • Executive-level presentation skills and an ability to communicate at all levels of our business
