Your responsibility



  • As an Underwriter you will be part of a global treaty reinsurance team. Your job is to market, underwrite, maintain and develop an existing, profitable portfolio along Property & Casualty lines in France and North Africa

  • Together with the reinsurance team, you serve clients and brokers personally in order to meet their needs in a timely manner and create an added value which leads to the benefit of all parties involved

  • Being a member of our underwriting team, you make sure that your activities (underwriting and pricing) are in line with the Underwriting Rules and Guidelines, Best Practice Papers and the Underwriting Authority Levels

  • In order to achieve your marketing goals you establish specific marketing and sales plans gather market data for the assigned region and identify new opportunities


Your qualification



  • High degree of education, entrepreneurial spirit and a strong understanding of re-/insurance numbers and statistics

  • Profound understanding of Property and Casualty reinsurance markets (France and North Africa)

  • Extensive underwriting experience within the treaty reinsurance industry, ability to underwrite reinsurance treaties, understanding of contract wordings, pricing and rating methodology, modelling and valuation tools

  • Proven track record of managing international Client and Broker relationships, effective strategic relationship management and portfolio management skills

  • Absolutely fluent in both French (native speaker level) and English
