We are currently seeking a Medical Science Liaison Manager - General Medicine (fieldbased, part-time 60%) to join our Medical Team in the Swiss Affiliate, based in Rotkreuz, Switzerland. The main purpose of this role is to maximize Amgen’s value propositions through medical and scientific projects, services and expertise for benefit of patients (according to Corporate and European strategies), to coordinate the implementation of medical affairs (MA) programs in local territories with Sales Representative and Development Field Operations representatives as well as to support Medical Advisor in developing local territory MA tactics of a therapeutic area or product. Furthermore the successful candidate will implement MA plans in the field and executes POA, provide scientific communication on request and proactively where appropriate as well as medical insights for medical and brand plan.

Additional responsibilities include:

Scientific Expert (SE) Engagement and Data Discussions

• Identifies, develops and maintains collaborative relationships with current and future Scientific Experts (SE), Brand Advocates, cooperative groups and key external audiences in cardiology/lipidology


• Develops and implements local SE Plans, with local brand team and in agreement with COP


• Works with Sales Representatives to ensure prioritization of key SE


• Ensures medical/legal excellence and compliance

Study Support / Evidence Generation

• Identifies new research/study opportunities in collaboration with Medical Advisor


• Works with development field operations to ensure prioritization of site selection across assigned territories

Market Insights, Access & Value

• Inform competitive intelligence, patient journey and report SE feedback


• Developsrequiredqualitativeandquantitativeinsightsreports;collatescompetitorinformation

Internal  and HCP Support

• Ensures timely response to medical inquiries


• Implements and disseminates high quality medical and scientific educational programs; gives clinical and scientific presentations at sites/cooperative groups/ hospital formularies


• Deliverstargetedinternaltraining

Your profile:

Minimum Requirements

• Medical or scientific education or experience from similar positions


• Advanced degree (e.g. PhD, MD) preferred or strong demonstration of equivalent combinationof relevant educational and professional training


• Three years of experience in industry, or a related scientific field in academia


• Medical / scientific research experience


• Willingness to travel within Switzerland;valid driver’s license


• Excellent project management and presentation skills

Preferred Requirements

• Scientific expertise in bone/nephrology disease and related products, disease states, and interested in latest discoveries


• Experience in affiliate Medical Department or Clinical Development


• Experience with clinical study management and conduct


• Knowledge of value messages, clinical outcomes and patient benefits in cardiology


• Understanding of Swiss health care system and decision-making processes


• Knowledge of commercialization and business practices


• Good knowledge of clinical research, drug safety, legal and compliance environment


• Willingness to continuously expand medical, scientific, market, and industry knowledge


• Network of customer contacts in Switzerland
