Job Summary


 


The IBM OpenPages GRC Platform (following referred to ‘OP’) enables better identification, management and analysis of governance, risk and compliance challenges across the enterprise within a single, integrated solution. OpenPages provides different solutions (i.e. modules) in particular for Operational Risk Management (ORM), Policy and Compliance Management (PCM), Model Risk Governance (MRG), Internal Audit Management (IAM) and IT Governance (ITG).


At SCOR, various use cases have been implemented (e.g. Internal Control System, Data Quality Management, Policy Management) and further use cases  are being looked at. The Risk Technology Manager is the port of call at SCOR for Open Pages related matters.


 


Key duties and responsibilities


 


Stakeholders and project management:



  • Act as secretary of the OpenPages Governance Committee (OPGC) which monitors OP operations / maintenance, decides on the OP “road map” (i.e. change requests, release, new modules, go-live decision etc.) and sets priorities in respect of timelines, resources etc.

  • Manage the OpenPages Community (OPC) which serves to collect and discuss best practices, new ideas for developments, change requests and acts as facilitators for knowledge transfer (e.g. trainings, communication)

  • Coordinate and cooperate with OpenPages IT Owner who deals with:

    • IT activities in terms of management of releases, and environments

    • Integration with other IT systems (limited in OP case, mainly Active Directory for the time being) and infrastructure

    • Security, data governance

    • Budget follow-up (i.e. preparation of the budget, follow-up with external partners)


  • Coordinate and cooperate with OpenPages Module Owners (e.g. for ICS, DQM, Policy Management, Issue Management) on use cases, business requirements, developments, road map etc.

  • Coordinate user communication and user training and keep training material up-to date

  • Develop access role concepts, maintain access profiles and grant access to OP modules

  • Create and maintain a risk, action, issue and decision log

  • Deliver use cases for changes, test cases, testing, go-live decision etc.


 


Development on value added solutions based on OpenPages:



  • Gather and respond to ad-hoc business queries and support with the maintenance of modules in the OP

  • Design and develop on-demand solutions / reports / dashboards in OP and Cognos to meet specific client requirements.

  • Conduct impact analysis for new change request

  • Advise business on transformation rules and the implementation of data cleansing activity

  • Co-ordinate activities between different functional heads during the Model Lifecycle Management to ensure timely completion of the development

  • Review IT architecture blueprints to assess the business requirements/strategies while ensuring design aligns to enterprise architecture principles/standards/best practices

  • Communicate on incidents and follow up on incidents with IBM and our sub-contractor (Pentos) Should be defined

  • Prepare usage statistics and reports based on KPIs and run user satisfaction surveys


 


Digital transformation:



  • Proactively inform stakeholders of the available solutions and developments in the market (focus on IBM)

  • Gather and anticipate future business and risk management needs

  • Explore and support the acceleration of SCOR’s digital transformation and generalized use of new technologies to enhance value creation as it is integrated with IBM Watson natural language processing, machine learning, data integration and aggregation, and advanced analytics and cognitive capabilities


 


In this function, you will be a member of theOpenPages Governance Committee (OPGC).


 


Required experience & competencies


 


Experience:



  • Implementation and advisory experience in GRC platform domain (preferably OpenPages)

  • Risk Management & Reporting

  • (Re)Insurance Business


 


Personal Competencies:



  • Consulting and strong presentation and communication skills


 


Digital Competencies:



  • IBM OpenPages GRC Platform (as a plus)

  • Basic programming (e.g. VBA, Java, HTML/XML Programming)

  • Report writing (e.g. Cognos)

  • Data visualisation (e.g. Power BI / Tableau)

  • Advanced data management & data governance


 


Managerial competencies (if applicable):



  • Stakeholder and project management skills
