Job Description

We are looking for you as our new Project Manager RDO (m/f/x) to strengthen our Continuous Improvement Projects team within Research and Development at our headquarters in Basel. You will be part of a passionate and high performing team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, execution-focused and customer-oriented individual who would like to strength and develop project management skills. The position reports to the Group Leader Continuous Improvement Projects with the following main tasks:

• Responsible for medical device development projects from idea to implementation into the markets (complex, small-to mid-sized projects)


• Defines, implements, maintains project scope and set-up, develop timeline with associate cost and resource needs (budget) for new projects in close collaboration with Project Team


• Coordinate and lead interdisciplinary project teams (< 10 functions)


• Proactively monitor performance (timeline, quality, budget and resources)


• Seek counteractions quickly to address performance gaps, remove obstacles and redirect efforts as needed in collaboration with internal business partners and subcontractors


• Elaborate, improve current products and/or processes based on company strategy


• Interacts within the Straumann-Group and take global ownership to complete assigned projects within a set of restrains including standard quality and regulatory requirements


• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stake holders


• Performs and updates project risk analysis, enforce compliance to regulations and internal processes


• Actively supports business process improvements for i.e. PDP and LP


• Work closely and regularly with our operation partners at our production site in CH-Villeret

Qualifications

• Engineering, bio/engineering or life science degree on university level (Bachelor / Master),


• Project Management Education is mandatory, analytics and result-orientated personality


• Minimum of 3 years of experience in leading product or business process development projects


• Sustained experience, knowledge in the following areas:
  
  
  
  • Applicable standards and regulations (MDD/MDR, FDA, ISO)
  
  
  • Design control process and Product Development Pro-cess(PDP)
  
  
  • Product development, manufacturing and testing
  
  


• Experience in leading medical device development and launch projects


• Managing product launches including budget control is a plus


• Energetic, straight-forward and performance-driven with strong execution abilities and customer focus


• Skillful in communication in a multi-lingual environment, proficiency in English is a must; French is a real  advantage, german is appreciated


• Skillful in Conflict Management, Difficult Conversation, Effective Communication and Presentation


• Stamina and high stress tolerance


• Skillful in interpersonal relationships and open-minded as well as positive to help the team to win
