Kopter Group AG specializes in the development, production, commercialization and support of a new generation of helicopters. It is based in the Zurich region and currently employs 250 people. Its first model, the single turbine SH09, offers the highest standards of safety, comfort and performance, coupled with low operating costs. Additionally, it provides the largest cabin/cargo volumes, outstanding modularity and the latest generation of electronic systems. Built for the most demanding missions, the SH09 helicopter is generating an excellent market response.


Your responsibilities



  • Preparation of and collaboration on material and process specifications

  • Release of materials and process specifications

  • Assessment of external production processes of metallic materials

  • Close collaboration with stress & fatigue, design and procurement department to align material applications (esp. metals)

  • Maintenance of material data bank GRANTA MI

  • Support for subject specific topics (i.e. material selection, material testing etc.)

  • Planning, performing and analysing tests performed internally as well as at external suppliers

  • Support as SME during audits and calls on customers

  • Support the engineering department in the selection of material

  • Provide material data for the analysis

  • Organising and releasing of guidelines for production and for quality assurance for material processes

  • Is in charge to release relevant quality management system documents based on definition per kind of document

  • Have a common knowledge about quality management system (QMS)


Your qualifications



  • Degree in engineering discipline

  • Fluent English, both verbal and in writing

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional aerospace experience

  • Proven knowledge of metallic material processes

  • Professional experience in material characteristics

  • Knowledge of SAPExcellent team player skills, self-driven attitude and the ability to work to fixed deadlines with a flair of coordination

  • Strong and persistent personality and able to work independently

  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
