Manufacturing Engineer Rotorblade (f/m)


Kopter Group AG specializes in the development, production, commercialization and support of a new generation of helicopters. It is based in the Zurich region and currently employs 250 people. Its first model, the single turbine SH09, offers the highest standards of safety, comfort and performance, coupled with low operating costs. Additionally, it provides the largest cabin/cargo volumes, outstanding modularity and the latest generation of electronic systems. Built for the most demanding missions, the SH09 helicopter is generating an excellent market response.


Your responsibilities



  • Support the Design Organization and provide technical guidance for the production related aspects during the new products introduction stage

  • Review and accept the design data

  • Create and keep up-to-date the manufacturing documentation (job cards, work instructions, operative instructions etc.)

  • Define and optimize the production sequences and manufacturing processes (methods, tooling and equipment, layout) taking into account the on-time, on-quality, on-cost requirements

  • Cooperate with the Design Organization and Quality Department to assess and solve the product’s non-conformities

  • Cooperate with the Production and Production Planning Teams in order to solve material related issues

  • Define and carry out the product development trials, in cooperation with the Design and the Production Teams

  • Provide technical guidance for the production-related issues within the scope of the ramp-up as well as the later series production


Your qualifications



  • Basic technical training with business knowledge, e.g. process specialist, technician HF or FH degree course

  • At least three years of professional experience in a similar position, preferably in the aviation industry

  • Sound knowledge of the composite manufacturing processes (autoclave, surface preparation, machining, finishing)

  • Sound knowledge of the Quality Management System (e.g. ISO 9000)

  • Good language skills in technical English and German (reading, writing, speaking)

  • Self-contained working, cost awareness and schedule-conscious thinking and acting

  • Good knowledge of SAP, Teamcenter and MS-Office; CAD knowledge is an advantage

  • Knowledge of the EASA Part 21G
