The Associate Director of Program and Release Management has responsibility for supporting the overall HR Information Management function for all system releases, system change management, system governance and tenant management activities.  This position will also support issue/ case management with vendors, ensure adherence to necessary compliance requirements and support the prioritization and deployment of new functionality, system upgrades, change requests and process improvements.


Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:



  • Support the ongoing operations of Workday with specific focus on tenant management and upgrade / functionality releases

  • Manage and maintain the system change management and governance processes working closely with counterparts in our Company’s IT organization

  • Manage overall regression testing approach and processes across functions in support system upgrades / functionality releases

  • Work with HR Organizational Readiness to ensure appropriate change management and communication activities are executed

  • Maintain system compliance with IT Risk and Data privacy policies, inclusive of GDPR and other local privacy regulations for systems within the HR organization

  • Management and oversight of the system / enhancement release schedule as it relates to all HR information systems

  • Ensuring effective, controlled and compliant HR processes and systems that meet internal audit, SDLC (system development life cycle), and external regulatory requirements 

  • Manage the HR / IT portfolio of work in support of HR applications

  • Identify opportunities for continued automation, efficiency and improvements in usability and scalability

  • Analyze and prioritize system enhancements, change requests, and defects in alignment with business priorities

  • Work closely with HR solutions leadership to understand existing needs, priorities, case volumes and capability gaps to help drive prioritization activities


This role will operate in a highly complex and matrix environment and is expected to apply HR functional and technical expertise to drive performance.  The ideal candidate will have a strong information systems background with knowledge of HR business processes and data, as well as knowledge and experience in managing  / governing system releases and tenants / environments for cloud technologies. He/she will have a track record that demonstrates the following competencies:

  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment and managing to system development life cycle requirements

  • Ability to establish and manage governance structures with a broad range of stakeholders

  • Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative information to drive insights and set prioritization


Qualifications:


Education Minimum Requirement: 



  • Bachelor’s degree


Required Experience and Skills:



  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in an HRIS and/or IT

  • Workday functional and/or technical experience

  • Project leadership expertise, managing in a deadline driven environment.

  • Initiative, creativity, with strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent analytical, technical, problem solving skills

  • Demonstrated competencies in relationship management, facilitation, influencing skills, and working globally as well as cross functionally.

  • A team-oriented style and a collaborative approach to getting work done.  Ability to be hands-on and entrenched in the details when necessary

  • Ability to seek direction when needed as well as in working independently / self-directed with limited and / or an evolving set of available information.
