Compounding Production Supervisor – Your next role?


 


As a Compounding Production Supervisor, you will provide support to Manufacturing Production Manager by managing the production operations to ensure that intermediate or finished fragrances products are delivered according to established production specifications, schedules, quality, safety and service standards.

In this exciting role you will:



  • Be responsible for the performance of the production area in order to meet the production schedules and targets.

  • Control inventory to ensure the availability of materials required for the operation.

  • Monitor the volume and quality of output and adjust tasks, timing, equipment set-up, so that production specifications are met and resources are used efficiently.

  • Ensure the protection of plant assets and the implementation of internal control regulations.

  • Prepare production reports so that performance problems can be identified and resolved.

  • Define manufacturing processes and procedures for a specific area in line with safety, EHS, Quality standards and efficiency/productivity requirements.

  • Take care on necessary capacity improvements to fulfil the demand evolution and prevent new asset investments.

  • Be the owner of Continuous Improvement program roll out and relevant Team Board/meetings.

  • Create/Maintain standard operating procedures on all manufacturing area and ensure that people follow them

  • Supervise a team of shift leaders

  • Supervise staff to ensure that all production tasks are performed, and all machines and equipment operated, safely. Document performance and provide on-going feedback (e.g., conducting mid-year and end-year reviews), addressing behaviour and job performance issues, recommending hiring, People Management Programmes and Givaudan established Policies

  • Ensure that employees under their supervision receive refresher training on a regular basis.

  • Ensure that third-party employees intervening on-site under their area of responsibility have received appropriate training and competencies before they are active on assignments



  • Report instantly to their immediate supervisor and to the local EHS manager any undesired situation which they have reason to believe could present a hazard and which they cannot correct themselves.

  • Report any incident, accident, injury to health or near-miss which arises in the course of, or in connection with work.

Your professional profile includes :


 



  • University level or technical diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain or related discipline.

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in production with exposure to quality and/or materials process management.

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in people management.

  • French mother tongue

  • Fluent in English (oral and written)

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong knowledge in SAP and other necessary systems

  • Exposure Project Management.

  • Proven ability to motivate and inspire a team

  • Capability to challenge the status quo

  • Proven ability to perform change management

  • Good communication skills.
