As a Cloud Platform Architect within the fast growing Oracle Cloud Platform, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of Oracle IAAS and PAAS within our Top Account in ALPS Cluster (CH AT)


Your Role:



  • Support our clients, across all industry sectors, in exploiting Oracle's leading-edge technology portfolio – in the Cloud and on Premises


  • Support the sales process leading engagement at all levels within both Oracle and the customer organizations.


  • Partner and guide the sales team to design Sales strategies and solutions for customers, drive Oracle adoption and revenue.


  • Design and participate in technology pilot projects or proof of concept (POC) activities


  • Define values propositions, positioning and differentiation to competitor’s products


  • Lead request for information (RFI) and request for proposal (RFP)


  • Drive sales opportunities to successful completion


  • Be an Oracle evangelist. Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of Oracle Cloud Platform


  • Establish credibility & build deep relationships with senior technical and business individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.


  • Participate in deep architectural / Functional discussions to build confidence and ensure customer success when building new and migrating existing applications, software and services on the Oracle Cloud Platform


  • Conduct deep-dive “hands-on” education/training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers


  • Author or contribute to customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, tutorials, etc.


  • Present sessions at Community and industry conferences.


  • Work alongside partners and other third party organizations as required


  • Define and drive pre-sales initiatives in target accounts and territories


  • Own each engagement, and help ensure a timely and successful delivery of value.


  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the Oracle community.


  • Understand Oracle market segments, customer base, and industry verticals.



The ideal candidate will possess customer-facing skills that will allow them to represent Oracle well within a customer's environment and drive discussions with senior personnel within the company, as well as a technical/functional background that enables them to easily interact and give guidance with software developers and architects. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think structured about business, product, and technical challenges.


You must be interested in advancing your knowledge, be self-motivated, proactive, and we will provide you with continuing education possibilities around technical and personal development skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Strong experience on Cloud Platform : Infrastructure and Platform as a Service


  • Design of Data Center-level computing architectures, Cloud, or Hybrid solutions preferred


  • Data Center to Cloud Transformation Experience


  • Software Architecture, Containers, Cloud Native and Devops


  • Data Management Platform : Database, Datawarehouse, DataLake, Big Data,


  • Understanding of Business Applications deployments


  • Experience in identity management and security architectures


  • Technical design authority role for large projects


  • Experience with Oracle Technologies in these domains is an advantage


  • Technical degree required; Computer Science or Math background highly desired


  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to right level conversations


  • Excellent Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers


  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly


  • Ability to travel


  • Fluency in English is essential. German is a strong advantage, French a plus.

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.


As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.


Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
