We are looking for you as a teammate. You'll help Homegate to grow the business and solve problems encountered by our customers to shift our platform to the next level, while driving innovations. You will work in collaboration with our professional customer care agents and our teams of product owners and development engineers.
Technical Support Engineer (f/m) 80-100%
Your Responsibilities
Act as "software detective", identify and solve issues within a multiple components business architecture
Be the link between customers, product management and support services, products and processes to ensure customer success.
Resolve customer incidents, translating a functional need into a technical problem, qualify the problem and find the solution, in connection with our engineering teams and product owners, by ensuring a follow-up throughout the incident.
Identify the most important customers' requirements and help the teams transferring them to adequate solutions
You will work on rebuilding the Homegate platform using microservices architecture on AWS
This will not only include fixing complex problems and finding manageable solutions but also driving communication external as well internal
Your Qualification
Previous experience in 2nd level support or similar position as trouble shooter of complex applications
Hands on experience designing and implementing RESTfull backend services
Familiarity with Java/Spring/Maven as well AWS services like Lambda, DynamoDB, SNS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch and ElasticSearch
Good knowledge of web technology/frameworks like Angular or Vue.js and experienced in JavaScript/Node.js and related web frameworks
Experience with agile methodologies and pronounced agile mindset
A degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience
Fluent in English (German is a plus)
Open, independent and communicative personality with humour
You enjoy working in a fast growing environment and with both technical and non-technical teams
