The focus of this role is on the development of leading-edge, complex optical imaging solutions, with an emphasis on solid consumer-level camera module development experience. Although a Project Management role, we are looking for strong candidates with technical skills and understanding in the fields of optical imaging, camera module component sourcing and testing.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Working for the Manager of Optics Projects, the Project Manager will be expected to carry out the following duties
o Work directly with OSS internal Engineering to design new, innovative, miniature imaging systems
o Liaise directly with AMS Business Lines for new product developments
o Liaise directly with AMS Sourcing to identify appropriate global suppliers for externally manufactured optical imaging components, assembly and test services
o Work directly with AMS Singapore Engineering and manufacturing for the realization of imaging products using internal technologies
o Gather and collate all necessary new optical product (imaging, plus others) development documentation from each AMS Business Line e.g. specifications, cost targets and production forecast
o Plan the complete Engineering portion of the development, present and explain the planning across all involved AMS Business Lines
o Manage the imaging project activities for the approved projects, regularly report progress, costs and changes to the involved AMS Business Lines
o Maintain all necessary project documentation for the Product Development Process

o Good presentation skills
o Excellent spoken and written English. German knowledge an advantage
Your education and experiences
o BSc or higher education in an Engineering or Science discipline required
o Education in optics a major advantage, but not a requirement
o Solid industrial experience (at least 5 years) in optical imaging, camera modules, opto-electronics or similar discipline required
o Previous experience in Project Management for Product Development required
