Novocure is a global publicly-traded commercial-stage oncology company developing a profoundly different cancer treatment therapy called tumor treating fields (TTFields) for patients with solid tumors. TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality which utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death. Novocure's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe, Israel and Japan. Novocure has ongoing or completed clinical trials and is further expanding its efforts into several other solid tumor indications - non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer and other types of solid cancers. 

 

To support our Marketing Team based in Root, Switzerland we are looking for a

 

Digital Communication Specialist EMEA

 

The Digital Communication Specialist EMEA supports the strategic digital content and communication planning, implementation, execution and evaluation efforts to meet the Novocure's marketing goals and strategies for Optune. This role will be empowered to provide creative direction to external freelancers, PR agencies, and other vendors with the end goal of delivering integrated communications programs to include all aspects of communications including the development of collateral, journal and online advertising, digital media content delivered via desktop and mobile websites, social media channels, video and animations.

 

Your responsibilities:

• Utilize expertise in strategic digital marketing communications planning process


• Work with cross-functional teams to develop integrated communications plans for Optune


• Support the marketing communications objectives as set forth in the annual country specific marketing plans.


• Understand and apply the elements of writing excellence in German, English and ideally any other European language (French, Swedish).


• Write materials (copywriting) that translate features into benefits.


• Translate complex concepts into understandable language across various traditional and digital communications channels, building up corporate verbal brand standards.


• Manage the implementation and completion of communications tactics, as outlined in the country specific annual communications plans.


• Manage the internal Medical, Legal/Regulatory and Marketing material review process (Veeva) for assigned projects.


• Develop and maintain an understanding of what communications channels are most effective for all external customers


• Conduct appropriate research to test message and/or communications content with patients and HCPs.


• Utilize and leverage key digital measurement tools, analytics, and dashboards to assess and present the effectiveness and results of digital communications tactics.


• Manage resources efficiently and effectively. Track actual spending to estimates, and report status of programs/projects.

  

Your profile:

• Undergraduate degree in a Business / Communication or Science major from a recognized University program; a Master degree would be an asset.


• Minimum of 2 years writing and editing experience in digital media / content communication is a must.


• Experience in oncology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals or knowledge of those industries' key audiences is an advantage.


• Proficiency in German and English grammar and spelling is necessary. Additional European language skills are a strong advantage.


• Strong team player; ability to work cross-functionally and build consensus to align the team.


• Ability to manage time-sensitive projects, meet deadlines and manage changes.


• Ability to proactively identify opportunities for improvements and implement innovative solutions.


• Ability to multi-task numerous responsibilities effectively with internal and external partners.
