Internship in Formulation Europe (12 months, start: June/July 2020)

Syngenta Formulation Department in Switzerland aims to develop and deliver innovative products from the outstanding Syngenta active ingredients pipeline. This includes the development and optimization of novel formulations from lab to production scale as well as products’ support throughout their whole lifetime. 
For our Formulation Department we are looking for a trainee to join us for a 12 months internship starting in 2020. This internship will consist in independently carrying out experimental formulation development activities at lab scale. 
The Formulation site is located in Muenchwilen Aargau, Switzerland and closed to the cosmopolitan city of Basel, at the meeting point of Switzerland, France and Germany. 

Your main responsibilities include…

• Establish and conduct formulations preparation and characterization programs thanks to rheology, microscopy, granulometry, application tests etc. 


• Interpret experimental data and shape formulation developments/research program to optimize formulation stability/properties and match project requirements


• Investigate new formulation technologies to solve specific problems supported by scientific literature available


• Prepare interim detailed reports and present projects progress to team and supervisor on a regular basis

 

Qualifications

 
Your requirements…

• You are completing your education in chemistry, pharmaceutical or material science (Bachelor or Master degree)


• You are interested in formulation/physical chemistry 


• Good English language skills (German would be a plus)


• Team player in an international environment


• High motivation and quick adaptation to a new and technical working environment
