Laboratory for Tissue Engineering and Biofabrication at the Department of Health Sciences & Technology, ETH Zurich is looking for an outstanding postdoctoral fellow to join a dynamic research consortia working in the area of craniofacial tissue engineering and reconstruction.Postdoctoral position in Cartilage Tissue Engineering
We are looking for an exceptional postdoctoral researcher to perform innovative, translational research in the area of Cartilage Tissue Engineering. You will be part of a Sinergia consortium consisting of cartilage and skin engineers, ENT surgeons and development biologists. You will explore novel cell sources, materials and biofabrication methods to advance treatment of craniofacial deformities.

The successful candidate will be hosted in the Department of Health Sciences & Technology (Prof. Zenobi-Wong, www.biofabrication.ethz.ch) and will interact with teams from the Zürich Children’s Hospital (www.skingineering.ch), the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research (www.fmi.ch/research/groupleader/?group=123) and the University of Mannheim medical faculty.


You have a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Biomaterials or a related field and good knowledge of techniques from cell biology and molecular biology are an asset. A track-record of innovative scientific research, publishing in highly ranked scientific journals and excellent communication and management skills are prerequisites. In addition to your research activities, you will be in charge of managing the project, coordinating tissue transfer between the partners, scientific and financial reporting.
