Kopter Group AG specializes in the development, production, commercialization and support of a new generation of helicopters. It is based in the Zurich region and currently employs 250 people. Its first model, the single turbine SH09, offers the highest standards of safety, comfort and performance, coupled with low operating costs. Additionally, it provides the largest cabin/cargo volumes, outstanding modularity and the latest generation of electronic systems. Built for the most demanding missions, the SH09 helicopter is generating an excellent market response.

Your responsibilities

• Performs the assigned tasks to ensure on time, quality-compliant and within the determined target times data & tools availability for the production


• Designs the means of production (MoP) in that way that the product is in accordance with released design data (in cooperation with the design organisation) 


• Controls the design configuration of the production toolings, fixtures and jigs


• Creates, updates and transfers the 3D models and drawings for the realization of the mean of production internally or to the external suppliers


• Defines tooling requirements and technical specification for bid solicitation


• Ensures direct interface and technical support internally or to the external suppliers for the realization and modification of the means of production


• Supports inspectors for the dimensional inspection of components with 3D measuring equipment/CMM/Special toolings (e.g. FARO-arm, Software Polyworx) 


• Initiates continuous improvement processes and cost improvements within the unit to ensure sustainable profitable growth

Your qualifications

• Vocational education as a design engineer; further education on level HF / FH is an advantage


• At least 3 year working experience in aviation industry or similar


• A good knowledge in the PLM-software “Teamcenter” is required


• Several years of sound experience with CAD-software required, Siemens NX, Catia (current versions) preferable


• Professional experience in the development of mechanical systems is an advantage


• Knowledge about EASA and FOCA regulation


• Familiar with SAP (module MM & PP) and Teamcenter desirable


• Good English skills (written and spoken) mandatory, German language skills desirable


• Team player, good communication skills as well as problem solving and organization skills
