Mission



  • Lead the technical system architectural vision of Kudelski Security managed security services, its subsystems and interfaces to other associated cloud-based SaaS cybersecurity solutions in agile environment

  • Define the general view of the solution, while empowering engineering team to make local technical decisions.

  • Iterate the existing infrastructure and software architecture to support future business requirements and non-functional requirements.


Responsibilities



  • Leads and gives direction concerning the evaluation of system design and alternatives including recommendations on build versus buy, including use of open source versus commercial software. Collaborate with agile teams experts to capture emerging architectures.

  • Understand, influence and maintain a high-level understanding of the current and upcoming roadmap requirements by working closely with PM and technical experts across the group.

  • Understand and communicate the non-functional requirements (e.g. security, availability, quality, performance) for the system, liaise with PM and PO to ensure proper priority in the project backlogs.

  • Work with local engineering leaders to help enhance a Managed Security Platform that is highly scalable and available with local and distributed services that run in private and public cloud infrastructure, including proprietary customer linux network appliances.

  • Provides technical expertise and guidance for MSS topics to internal stakeholders and external 3rd party partners and customers.

  • Manage relationship with key 3rd party partners on technical aspects (roadmap, documentation, training,…)

  • As hands on architect, produce draft POC’s to demonstrate, validate system decisions and interoperability.

  • Promote CTO practices and tools to foster a normalized set of technology choices across related product domains.


Requirements / Profile



  • At least 7 years of working experience in a technical architect role, ideally in an information security environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of Cybersecurity threats (e.g. OWASP 10, SANS 20), security architecture, PKI and Key Management systems

  • Familiarity with common operational components of Cybersecurity Systems such as SIEM’s, security alerts, log ingestion, parsing and data normalization.

  • Strong experience of working in an agile development environment with rapid iterations

  • Experienced with implementing back-end services in large distributed systems

  • Knowledge with micro-services design and implementation.

  • Knowledge and experience with “Platform as a Service” environments or other application development platforms.

  • Knowledge of buffering, stream processing, complex event processing, and storage solutions (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, Mongo, etc)

  • Ability to code in order to develop proof of concepts.

  • Strong team player, with ability to navigate across different teams and different levels of the organisation

  • Strong influencing skill, with ability to set the direction and actively contribute in teams with different skills, geographies and experience levels.

  • Customer first mindset with a willingness to help internal customers with technical queries

  • Very good communication skills both spoken and written


 


Nice to Have:



  • Security qualification (e.g. CISSP) and awareness of secure development lifecycle process

  • Understanding of serverless infrastructure architecture such as AWS Lamda


 


Technical Influence:



  • Is visible as a speaker or a thought leader in forums or networking events related to managed security, orchestration and automation, devops.


 


Qualifications:



  • Higher education degree (University, Masters)


 


Languages:



  • Fluent English essential, French a plus.


 


Travel:



  • Low: The average travel percentage for this position is estimated at 5-10%.
