The Position:

Each data point is part of a patient's story and their contribution to developing better medicines and understanding disease. It is our responsibility to maximize the use of these data for answering new questions and enabling larger-scale analyses for generating new insights.
The Statistical Programming and Analysis (SPA) team in Basel, Switzerland, is looking for high calibre Intern Students to start in 2020 to help contribute to this vision. The during of this Internship is 12 months and candidates must have at least 6 months of their studies to be performed post-internship.
Interns will work as part of a team to deliver data and insights about our medicines and to provide solutions that aid the collection and analysis of clinical trial data for medicines in Roche’s diverse pipeline contributing to the delivery of these to patients.
Full training in systems, software and programming will be provided and you will have frequent access to senior members of staff that can provide coaching and oversight on a day-to-day basis.

Who You Are:
Applicants should be undertaking a BSc/MSc in Biomedical Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, or other relevant subjects, with at least 6 months of their studies to be performed post-internship. Applicants should have a passion for data and data science, and an appetite for learning about drug development. Some experience or knowledge of data handling and analysis techniques including programming languages (e.g. R or SAS) are essential, as well as good communication skills in English.
