Verity Studios is seeking a Hardware/Electronics Engineer to join its growing team and to contribute to the electronics development of its UAV and control platforms.
Our designs are highly constrained and cover a wide spectrum of electrical specialties – embedded, batteries, power management, motor control, multi-radio RF, MEMS sensors, high-speed digital and analog circuits. This role will allow a wide variety of design challenges to be explored and solved in an incredibly exciting application: autonomous flight.

Responsibilities.
· Develop and production hand-off of PCBs and electronic assemblies at Verity Studios
· Work with the business group and other engineers to determine requirements for new electronic designs
· Develop electronic designs, including component selection, schematic, and layout
· Plan for production test requirements and coordinate with Hardware Test Engineering
· Take responsibility for driving initial yield improvements and product reliability with PCB assemblers and suppliers
· Verify prototype electronic assemblies meet design requirements for performance and reliability
· Review field failures and identify root causes for product improvements or future designs
Qualifications.
· Experience in circuit design, PCB layout, and production of electronic assemblies
· Experience with independent responsibility for designs, and end-to-end ownership through the design life-cycle from concept to production release
·Experience with high-speed digital interfaces, eg. DDRx, MIPI-CSI, USB SuperSpeed
· Proficiency with PCB design tools, preferably Altium Designer
· Proficiency with simulation tools, e.g. SPICE
· Proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, logic and spectrum analyzers
· Experience in working with manufacturers and component suppliers; experience in preparing manufacturing packages for PCBs
· Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
· Experience with regulatory compliance a plus
· Experience with RF electronics design a plus
· Experience in design of power electronics and analog design a plus
· Programming skills a plus
· Fluency in English required
