Job Description Summary


At the direction of the Global Owner LSI Supply Chain Systems, the Supply Chain Systems Manager will work to optimize the use of LSI’s Supply Chain software, including but not limited to SAP, Business Warehouse, Manufacturing Workbench and IBP.  The individual will possess a strong knowledge of these systems and their use in the process of getting product to our customers.


Primary Responsibilities



  • Ensure integrity of Supply Chain-relevant master data.  Identify and correct issues.

  • Periodically (every 6 months) analyze and update safety stock strategies and forecasting methodologies.

  • Support site planners and master planners with routine MRP/forecasting issues.

  • Assist with system setup and maintenance of new and existing tolling operations

  • Support mid-term planning efforts – translating business plans into manufacturing plans so that bottlenecks may be identified.

  • Support rollout of available-to-promise (ATP)


Skills, Competencies, & Behaviors



  • University degree in science or engineering, or an applicable business area

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in production / supply planning or planning related areas

  • Moderate understanding in financial planning including experience in manufacturing optimization projects

  • Demonstrate ability to balance the needs of the organization and the needs of the customer

  • Create an open environment that encourages people to work together to solve problems and improve practices and services

  • Demonstrate ability to map processes of possible consequences of decisions, to work out the importance of individual factors, and to choose the best course of action.

  • High level of ability to learn and use new IT tools, proficient in Excel and SAP

  • Team- and process-oriented person, capable of working independently and with ability to communicate with peers and stakeholders at all levels

  • Demonstrate skill in effective communicating, problem solving, and negotiating with a focus on party interests.

  • Excellent knowledge of English required
