Automotive System Engineer

At present, we are looking for an Automotive System Engineer to be a vital member of the Automotive Solutions Team that develops our core projects.


The platform is a shared set of conventional design, engineering, and production efforts, as well as significant components over several product types. Primary goals for the platform project team are to minimize the cost of development and increase quality.  Another goal is to speed up product go to market for OEM solutions and further industrialization. 


In this role, your key responsibilities will be to bring the power of system engineering into the Company’s product development processes and make it a useful tool for solving complex technical tasks 


Primary tasks


The role requires working with other cross-functional team members and the customers’ engineers to deliver a Head-up display project according to the plan.


The following activities are expected from the role: 



  • Identify applicable customer-specific and market-specific automotive requirements

  • Develop, define & refine system requirements for HUD systems 

  • Define and document functional requirements for subsystems and components 

  • Identify and resolve conflicts in meeting technical needs

  • Support robustness activities (e.g., FMEA) and safety analysis 

  • Engage with suppliers to understand and track hardware delivery 

  • Develop test plans 

  • Support rig- or vehicle-level testing of new HUD concepts and prepare analysis reports

  • Support Material Project Manager in cost analysis 


Required knowledge and skills



  • BSc or BEng in Automotive or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

  • 5+ years’ experience working as a Systems Engineer on complex technical programs in the Automotive industry, proven by the successful execution of a complex product (reference examples will be examined)

  • Broad understanding of automotive systems and safety standards

  • Experience in developing Head-up display systems 

  • Experience in conducting FMEA activities

  • Additional experience in either of the following fields is a plus: optics, lasers, ADAS sensors processing

  • Ability to quickly comprehend new concepts 

  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment 

  • Strong knowledge of Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Visio); hands-on understanding of CAD systems and mathematical tools is a plus

  • Project management skills 

  • English language at the level of Full proficiency 

  • German language at the working level is plus
