IT Application Manager

Your tasks

As Application Manager you are responsible for the daily operational activities ('run') related to applications productively in use as well as for the future improvements associated to the application functional and non-functional requirements. Your daily tasks include operating and monitoring the business applications, release and change coordication and application testing.

Assure the reliability and functional highly satisfying applications:

• Operate and monitor business applications


• Insure availability, continuity, performance and resource consumption of business applications


• Develop extensive generalist knowledge about the use of the applications
  


• Liaise and coordinate with internal and external third-parties


• Support in testing cycles


• Ensure proper documentation of application operations procedure


• Collaboration when implementing applicative releases


• Collaboration in project groups/scrum teams


• Act as the SPOC to the application developers.

Profile

• Bachelor degree (or higher) in Information Technology 


• Knowledge of application design, implementation, service management and user support principles and practices


• Experience with application support processes and application troubleshooting as well as familiarity and experience with project management


• Experience with database management and application integration, ideally background in software development


• Ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success


• Strong communications abilities able to work with both technical and non-technical audiences


• Insurance background, ideally in life insurance, or at least willingness to develop extensive insurance knowledge


• Independent and self-driven
