Power Integrations, Inc. is a Silicon Valley-based supplier of high-performance electronic components used in high-voltage power-conversion systems.  Our SCALE™ IGBT drivers enhance the efficiency, reliability and cost of high-power applications such as industrial motor drives, solar and wind energy systems, electric vehicles and high-voltage DC transmission.

For our High Power Business Unit we are currently recruiting for a Test Engineer based in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland.

Responsibilities    



  • Software and Hardware Test Development for PCB In-circuit testing (ICT) and functional testing (FCT)

  • Release and installation of test programs and test hardware at subcontractors

  • Documentation of Test programs and processes (Test specifications, release procedures, etc.)

  • Characterization and release of current and new test systems, software and hardware

  • Working in a cross-functional team (Quality, Development and Production) during New Product Development and current product issues

  • Continuous improvement of the test process



Education and Experience



  • BSc/MSc degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or similar education

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Test development for electrical components and integrated circuits

  • Experience in programming In-Circuit Test (ICT) and Functional Circuit Test (FCT) on automated test platforms such as Teradyne TestStation, Keysight Medalist i3070 or Takaya Flying Probe a must

  • Experience and knowhow in programming in C/C++, Labview and/or Visual Basic a must

  • Advanced knowledge in power electronics, analog and mixed signal-electronics

  • Experience in testing automotive certified PCB assemblies and knowledgeable in the automotive requirements (VDA, IATF) is an advantage

  • Proven knowledge in PCB Design (Altium Designer) is desirable

  • Very good written and oral command of English. Some knowledge of German is a plus

  • Open to travelling to the EMS in the Far East up to 15% of the time
