Wanted: Associate Practice Engagement Manager

The Global Markets team represents the group of all client and market facing roles at Infosys. This includes our Client Services team, Practice Engagement team, Alliances team and Marketing team. The members of our Practice Engagement team are the primary interface for Clients, Prospects, Alliance Partners, Influencers on all topics related to the Practices’ core competencies

 

As an Associate Practice Engagement Manager, you will play a key role in cultivating relationships, create opportunities in your domain and generate new revenue growth in your region. You will work closely with the Market Leaders, Practice Managers and Delivery SMEs’ to execute a focused go-to-market strategy. You will pro-actively identify leads and convert prospects in to clients in collaboration with Account teams. You will get to collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create innovative, high quality solutions to meet our clients’ business needs.

This is an exciting opportunity if you have:

  • Strong understanding of Engineering, Engineering-IT, Product Lifecycle Management and support services in a broad range of industries including, but not limited to, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Utilities, Communications, and Resources



  • Wide variety of relevant business consulting, sales and project delivery experience with strong business development / relationship management / account management skills



  • Experience with proposal creation, and leading proposal presentations, commercial negotiations, and client management

  • Good understanding of Global Delivery Model

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

  • Eagerness and experience in successfully growing and partnering with clients

 


What will you do:

 

  • With a deep understanding of business needs in Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing and Service industry verticals, you will identify practice related opportunities and position Infosys offerings accordingly

  • Sell concepts of digital product engineering, IoT, I4.0 etc. to the client and influencing the client to award business based on capability and track record in similar situations

  • Customer prospecting & profiling, account planning and set revenue / margin targets by services line at the account level

  • Managing relationships with key client personnel including CX level within client organization and various internal stakeholders in a matrix organization

  • Conduct research as well as competitor analysis to define strategies that can help enable favorable outcomes

  • Review sales plan, pursuit plan/business pipeline with leadership to ensure organizational targets are achieved

  • Conduct client presentations, workshops, and drive pricing and MSA negotiations with the client

  • Work closely with architects, SME’s, Consultants, Partners and Vendors to build customized solution pitches for target accounts

  • Provide necessary input for building alliances with relevant product / service vendors

  • Navigate account(s) to identify various deals, build internal consensus and prioritise opportunities

  • Collaborate with Account team, work closely with delivery leadership to provide developmental feedback and manage account operations

 


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in selling digital initiatives in the Engineering Services domain including Digital Product Engineering, IoT, I4.0 and also traditional Engineering Services including, Product Development, Knowledge Based Engineering, Product Lifecycle Management, Engineering Application Maintenance etc.

  • Strong knowledge of local and global business environments norms across industry verticals and ability to spot opportunities and ensure conversion to business as per Client needs

  • Proven experience of managing relationships with key client personnel and CX/CX-1 level stakeholders within client organizations based on a strong understanding of the Client’s organizational culture

  • Understanding impact of industry trends, competition nuances and offerings, sectorial priorities, relevant government regulations etc.

  • Proven experience of delivering programs of >$2M and managing portfolio of >$10m

  • Good understanding of MSA, procurement and contract process and the nuances and interdependencies to other business aspects

  • Strong large deal sales skills, particularly in IT outsourcing and transformation deals, including building winning proposals.

  • Value articulation experience include client ROI using appropriate techniques like storyboarding, design thinking etc.

  • Mining / Farming / Upselling experience in Engineering and IT services and solutions

  • Ability to navigate in a complex matrix environment of a globally distributed delivery organization.

  • Professional Certifications like PMP® would be an added advantage
