The Institute of Management at the University of St. Gallen seeks to hire a Research Associate. Candidates for this position are expected to enroll in the PhD program in Management at the University of St. Gallen, with the doctoral supervisor being Christoph Lechner.
This position should be of particular interest to candidates interested in pursuing an academic-oriented PhD at the nexus of strategy and management, especially business ecosystems. The researcher will benefit from hands-on experience with research methods and opportunities to work closely with international corporate partners and potential references at the world's leading academic institutions.

The candidate should fulfill the following qualifications:
Outstanding Master's degree in business/management from a leading university or business school
Strong interest in business ecosystems
Demonstrated aptitude to work on analytical problems
Previous research experience, especially with analyzing datasets is a definite plus
First practical experience in a profession closely related to strategic management
Also, the candidate should have a combination of the following qualities:
Is intellectually curious and likes thinking about complex ideas
Stays organized and can manage multiple projects simultaneously
Pays strong attention to detail
Demonstrates a proactive, hands-on mentality attitude towards work and asks questions early
Can work collaboratively in a team Environment
