This position is part of the HSG's research initiative in digitization and the corresponding initiative of the School of Management.Post Doc for Communication - and Interaction-based Systems70%, per October 1st, 2018In this position, you will focus on architectures, methodologies, and the implementation of systems that allow virtual and physical agents to coordinate their interactions in "Internet of Things" environments. This will involve the supervision of junior researchers, solicitation of third-party funding, and development of your own research domain as well as publication and representation of the institute at international conferences and journals. In time, you will also get involved in the teaching of courses offered by the Institute.We are looking for you if you have:

  • a completed doctorate or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (completed by the time of appointment)

  • a proven and promising research track record in Web Architecture, Semantic Technologies, and distributed Artificial Intelligence (in particular Multi-Agent Systems)

  • confidence and independence in designing and implementing complex systems

  • experience in supervising student projects and teaching university-level courses is a plus

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • fluency in a national languages of Switzerland is a plus

  • industry experience is a plus
