Mission


The Summer Sports intern will support the team with the activities and projects related to sport operations within the summer sports section.


 


Main responsibilities
Olympic Games and Youth Olympic Games sport planning and operations:



  • Support the managers of the team in the management and monitoring of the sport functional area.

  • Contribute to the review of sport documentation and deliverables (including but not limited to sport publications, sport entries manual, sport operating plans and sport presentation plans)

  • Support the engagement with the 33 International Federations in the preparation of the Youth Olympic Games and Olympic Games 

  • Assist with the preparation of documents and the follow up of the Project Reviews and Coordination Commissions for Tokyo 2020, Dakar 2022, Paris 2024 and future editions of the Olympic Games and Summer Youth Olympic Games.

  • Support in liaising with International Federations and the Association of Olympic International Sport Federations (ASOIF) to advance the services and Games planning.


Coordination and administration:



  • Perform various administrative tasks: preparations of Executive Board decisions, reports, presentations and correspondence to the various stakeholders.

  • Support the activities of the summer sport section and Sports Department as directed by the Sports Director and/or the Head of the Summer Sports and IF Relations.


 


Training and language and IT competences



  • Master’s degree or professional experience deemed equivalent

  • 2-3 years of project management experience

  • Fluency in English or French with a perfect knowledge of the other language

  • Experience in a major sporting event or organisation considered as strong asset 

  • Excellent knowledge and command of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
