Our Industrial Automation division is looking for Global Product Group Communications Manager, for the Mining, Aluminium and Cement industries as part of Business Line Process Industries. In this role, you will implement assigned marketing communications activities through all available communications tools according to Group guidelines, directives and messaging.
As the Global Product Group (GPG) Marketing Communications Manager, you are responsible to lead all the GPG internal and external communication activities across geographies and stakeholder groups to maximize visibility, support execution of business strategy in ac-cordance with the ABB standards and thereby contribute to improve market position and customer retention.
You are also responsible to work closely with GPG management, product management, R&D, marketing, territories as well as local sales teams to develop GPG integrated communication strategies and plan execution.


Your responsibilities



  • Developing, proposing, coordinating, implementing and review GPG communication plans and processes in alignment with business priorities

  • Driving the creation of and write proof statements (success stories, press releases), and other persuasive materials for driving more sales

  • Demonstrating persistence in gaining the input and support from sales, operations and product management to drive the creation of such materials

  • Providing strategic and operative communication support regarding introduction of new technologies / new product launched in coordination with marketing managers and product managers

  • Creating and updating communication materials according to ABB’s branding guidelines including product brochures, multimedia and digital tools, presentations, posters, advertisements etc.

  • Managing the planning and organization of events (ABB events, industry events, webinars), and produce post-event reports

  • Elaborating, contributing to web content in coordination with Business Line digital communications manager to help visitors achieve their goals

  • Maintaining a library of GPG related photos and film shoots, image bank, graphics and product documentation in ABB Library

  • Use adequate tools for coordination, collaboration and follow up. Contribute to de-velopment processes for improved communications

  • Defining quality metrics for communication service providers and regularly review and evaluate results upon completion of activities

Your background



  • Degree or Masters level education in Marketing and/or Communications /Engineering or related discipline.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Marketing and Communications with an interest in technology

  • Self-starter, strong networker with strategic thinking capability combined with hands-on approach to translate plans to actions and monitor the report on progress

  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to details

  • Fluent in English and other languages are an added advantage

  • Limited travel is required for this position
