Project Manager for Systems in Material Handling/Pneumatic Conveying



Main tasks and responsibilities



  • You are the main contact person for clients as well as the internal coordinator for the project management process

  • Interpretation of client requests, conceptualize and define requirements necessary to provide pneumatic conveying or other material handling systems that meet customer expectations and Coperion K-Tron’s business goals

  • Interface with sales department, sales reps, vendors and customers to develop systems equipment proposals

  • Develop cost estimates, written proposals and flow diagram/stack-up concepts in accordance with systems guidelines

  • Working out solutions by combining our components with bought material in order to meet customer expectations

  • Develop the technical description of client requests and project documentations

  • Participate in customer meetings, approx. 10% international travel activity


Required experience and education



  • Master or Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or similar education

  • Preferably 3 to 5 years of experience within sales and/or engineering position within a capital equipment manufacturing organization

  • Basic understanding and knowledge of methods of material handling equipment and systems (feeders, pneumatic & mechanical conveyors, flow aids, processing equipment, mixing & blending, unloading and loading devices, bulk storage, size reduction, dust collection, etc.)

  • Experience in Project Engineering in an international environment

  • Able to work independently and prioritize tasks in an organized manner

  • Fluent English and good German knowledge advantageous
