You will design and build state of the art mobile apps to support the companies key initiative: increase speed and agility of innovation! Our customer benefits from many years of successful company history and is one of the strongest players in the retail market and strongly growing in the food service provider business. Today, they have operations in many European countries and have recently extended businesses into the US. The company is now building up an internal engineering team with the goal to increase the speed and agility of innovation. Lead Software Engineer - Mobile 80-100% (F/M)

Because good design is essential on the mobile platform, we are looking for a product-aware engineer who appreciates good user experience. You’re not only rock-solid technically, but also have a flair for apps which are a joy to use. The portfolio currently consists of 4 consumer facing apps and the plan is to release several more soon. To keep this manageable you, together with your team, will architect and build a framework to underpin all apps from scratch.

Your key Responsibilities

• Build a framework to underpin all apps on all supported platforms (iOS, Android) from scratch


• Take architectural decisions to make apps stable, as well as easy to maintain and extend


• Work closely together with the designers and the backend engineering team


• Take full ownership of building, releasing and maintaining existing as well as new apps on iOS and Android


• Build up the test and release infrastructure for the portfolio of apps

your personality

• Minimum of three years of experience developing iOS or Android apps (First platform)


• Experience in developing apps for a second platform (iOS or Android)


• A sense for world class mobile products and love of great engineering


• Ability to tackle problems outside your comfort zone and get things done without supervision


• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English

additional Desirable skills and experiences

• Shipped successfully iOS or Android apps, ideally still available in the App Store or Play Store


• Experience in running a test and release infrastructure for iOS and Android apps


• Generalist engineering skills (web, backend, or sysadmin)


• Spoken and written knowledge in German
