International Product Manager CPS SWA Systems

Roche Centralised and Point of Care Solutions (CPS) provide integrated Cobas branded solutions for blood testing in commercial and hospital labs, medical centers and laboratory networks. Our products and solutions support health care professionals in clinical decision making in a wide field of indications including, cardiovascular, hematology, infectious diseases, metabolism, oncology and women’s health.


The Life Cycle Team Serum Work Area (SWA) Systems initiates and manages attractive projects, such as cobas pro, cobas pure and future new developments. We are also responsible for on market systems, like cobas 6000 and cobas 8000. Furthermore, we are in charge to further strengthen our long-term partnership with Hitachi High Technologies as manufacturer and development partner for our SWA systems.


Your main responsibilities as International Product Manager include (but are not limited to):



  • Development of key messages, tactical / strategic marketing plans / tools / activities and communication of product positioning in alignment with CPS strategy and cross Life Cycle Teams

  • Preparation, implementation and monitoring of respective marketing budget

  • Coordination of feedback with countries / customers around specific marketing activities / projects

  • Support of country and regional marketing activities

  • Identification of new market opportunities based on market/customers’ needs and competitive data analysis

  • Maintain routine aspects of product lifecycle (in particular, product supply and quality), providing on-market support and guidance to the affiliates

  • Continuously monitor product success (sales/cost) throughout lifecycle

  • Liaise with internal partners to address product complaints, coordinate feedback with countries and customers around product lifecycle related topics and identify process improvements along the value chain

  • Identify portfolio gaps, including monitoring of competitors activities and derive recommendations (e.g. features, menu, workflow elements, intended use claims)

  • Contribute to ensure that R&D projects are delivered on time and in scope

  • Additional functions related to the stabilization and optimization of the R&D and production activities (e.g. regulatory, logistics, forecasting)


To be successful in this role, your qualifications include:



  • Scientific, business or engineering university degree; Master’s degree/PhD in relevant area of study or MBA preferred

  • 5+ years’ experience in the medical device industry, preferably in marketing or sales position with close contact with customers

  • Experience in international product launches is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills, ability to lead via influence

  • Strong project management skills

  • Experience in working in a complex and dynamic matrix environment with diverse colleagues/functions

  • English proficiency is a must, other languages skills, is an advantage
